What Customers Say About Linksys WRT110 RangePlus Wireless Router:

Cons: if you connect the other computer or more devices like voip or iphone, frequently gets disconnected Pros: working good for one computer.

This is poor customer service and will influence my buying decisions in the future.I will not buy another Cisco product until the technical support for setting up the product (and a faulty one at that). I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to get it to work. During the third technical support session, I had to pay $9.98 so the technician could download new software that he could not walk me through. After the second technical support session, the router would only connect through someone else's unsecured connection and not my connection.

This product has not worked reliably since I began using it about two weeks ago. is at no charge to the customer. I'll see how it goes from here.Clearly, Cisco would like to shorten support calls plus make money from them. Not only have I spent more than three hours on the phone with technical support, I had to PAY $9.98 to setup a product that was not manufactured properly.

Today, the connection was fine then disconnected entirely again. The cost of my time and frustration is more than enough. I have used computers for 20 years and worked in the computer industry for 10 years and have never had to pay the manufacturer to repair a faulty product.Immediately after installing the router, the wireless connection did not work. After the first technical support call, the connection stopped working the next day.

I feel as if I'm connected directly to my main Roadrunner modem. For some odd reason it couldn't detect my ethernet adapter.

Click on Wireless > Wireless Security > WPA Personal if you need to setup your password so nobody else in your neighborhood can access your internet. However, I found that you actually don't need this disc and can set everything up yourself by going to http://192.168.1.1 on your browser.

I've had this router for about a week now and so far my experience has been pretty good. The only problem I had was installing the walk-through disc on my computer.

Hope this helps. The connection to the internet has been consistent and the speed has been exceptional.

Despite the negative comments that other people have left, I have to give this product 5 stars because I don't see anything major wrong with it.

everything works fine now. Returned mine after 4 days of troubleshooting and bought a netGear. surprised that Linksys let this product out I am usually a fan of Linksys.but this product is very poor. problems with the firmware cause it to be intermittent, and little to no technical support was provided by Linksys/Cisco.

I then plug this wireless router into the wired router only when I want to use the wireless connection for my laptop. So finally I uninstalled the Linksys Adviser software. Otherwise the wireless router is unplugged. This works great for my purposes. Plus, I really don't need it for managing my network anyway, as it is really my wired router, not this wireless router, that controls my network. So I thought the router itself is great. Even with all the security features, I know that no wireless transmitter can be 100% secure. I purchased this wireless router because the one I had was 10 years old and my laptop could never get a strong connection. Needless to say, this new router was quite the improvement. I prefer doing most of my computer work on a desktop computer anyway, and only rarely need to connect with my laptop in another room.

I have a wired router for a couple of our home desktop computers. The router continues to work just fine without that software. For some reason, the software that came with it, Linksys Adviser, for managing your computer network was very slow to install. But I found the software to be lousy and unneeded. I couldn't find any way to get it to stop telling me that I needed updates. So I just wanted a wireless transmitter on the rare occasions when I use my laptop. Plus, after the software was installed, over the next couple of weeks it kept notifying me that I needed to get the updates for the software, even after I downloaded and installed the latest updates. I have never had a problem connecting, or staying connecting, with my laptop several rooms away. All I really needed was an occasional wireless transmitter.

It took quite awhile to set up, though it connected easily the first time. So my network is made up of two routers. Plus we are not convinced that sending a wireless signal through the house is completely safe health-wise, especially when this router has to sit on a shelf at head level in the room where I spend most of my time. I could not find a wireless router that has the option to turn off the transmitter, or at least one that listed that capability.
